Before your spray tan session, it's important to understand that proper preparation is key to achieving a flawless, long-lasting tan. Spray tanning is a cosmetic process that uses a fine mist of sunless tanning solution to create the appearance of a natural tan on your skin. While the results can be stunning, the outcome depends heavily on how well you prepare before and care for your skin after the appointment.
Following our pre- and post-tan instructions ensures:
✔ Even color development
✔ Maximum longevity (typically 5–10 days)
✔ A smooth, streak-free finish
✔ Better absorption and fading without blotchiness
Skipping or altering these steps can lead to patchiness, uneven fading, or a shorter-lasting tan. We want you to feel confident and radiant — so please take a few minutes to review and follow the instructions carefully. Your skin (and your tan) will thank you!
🗓 1–2 DAYS BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT:
Exfoliate: Gently exfoliate your entire body, focusing on dry areas (elbows, knees, ankles). Avoid oil-based scrubs.
Hair Removal: Shave/wax at least 24 hours before your session to allow pores time to close.
Moisturize: Hydrate your skin with a light, oil-free lotion (avoid on the day of your tan).
🕒 DAY OF YOUR SPRAY TAN:
Shower: Take a quick shower at least 3–4 hours before your appointment, using a gentle, non-moisturizing soap.
No Products: Come with clean, dry skin. Do not apply lotion, makeup, deodorant, perfume, or oils.
Wear Loose Clothing: Dark, loose-fitting clothes and sandals are best to avoid rubbing the tan while it sets.
Remove Jewelry: Take off necklaces, rings, and bracelets before your appointment.
⏳ FIRST 1-5 hours (as determined during appointment)
DO NOT shower, sweat, swim, or get wet.
Avoid touching or rubbing your skin.
Wear loose, dark clothing to avoid smudging or transferring the tan.
Try to stay cool—excessive heat or sweating can affect development.
🚿 FIRST SHOWER (1-5 hours after application, as discussed during appointment)
Rinse with warm (not hot) water only — no soap, scrubs, or shampoo.
Gently use your hands to remove excess bronzer. The water may look brown — this is normal!
Pat skin dry with a towel (do not rub).
💧 POST-SHOWER & DAILY CARE:
Wait 24 hours before using soaps, lotions, or deodorants.
Apply a gentle, oil-free moisturizer twice daily to keep your skin hydrated.
Avoid oil-based products, bar soaps, and exfoliants, as these can fade your tan faster.
Drink plenty of water — hydrated skin helps extend your tan.
🚫 THINGS TO AVOID:
Swimming in chlorinated pools or hot tubs (this can strip the tan).
Long, hot showers or baths.
Scrubbing, shaving aggressively, or waxing.
Tight clothing that may rub and fade certain areas.
